Location: Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire

Description: A traditional dwelling situated within the heart of Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire. SDA’s were pleased to be involved in this project from its initial conception through to completion. The design incorporates characteristic hipped roofs with clay plain tile covering, a substantial overhanging verge and eaves detail, and brick-and-stone detailing, all of which are intended to reflect the characteristics of the adjacent buildings, and the fundamental characteristics of this part of the village of Woodhall Spa. The scale of the original site and adjacent dwellings presented an opportunity for SDA to design a striking dwelling whilst also accommodating the fundamental characteristics of its conservation-area-edge setting. Materials utilised for the construction of the new building were of the highest possible standard from the clay bricks, through to the timber windows and natural stone detailing.
